Meet the 9th Life Kitties (click to play)
Welcome to 9th Life Hawaii, the only NO-KILL, non-profit, cat rescue organization and sanctuary on Maui.
9th Life Hawaii is situated on 2 acres in a secluded area of Maui. The property is fenced with Purrfect cat fencing and this allows many of our
kitties to actually roam safely within our acreage.
Except for the rare wise guy, most of the cats are unable to climb this special fencing. 9th Life kitties do get to climb trees and chase butterflies and roll in the grass all within the confines of this special fencing.
We also have a separate area for the true ferals, where they have more privacy and less interaction with people. None of our cats are caged unless they are ill and require special foods or medicines or need to be separated because they are contagious. We normally have around 200 cats at the sanctuary on any given day.
Most are adoptable and waiting for their purrfect purrson. During kitten season last year we took in more than 125 orphaned, infants and bottle-babies and were actually providing a safe haven for more than 325 cats at that time. 9th Life Hawaii is run totally by volunteers. That means your entire donation goes to help the kitties because NO-ONE is on salary. And we do need donations because 9th Life kitties are extremely well taken care of.
Because we are NO KILL, we treat every treatable illness. As cats age, we take excellent care of their medical needs. Just like older people, older cats have special medical needs. At 9th Life, we spare no expense in making the cats comfortable and we do our best to maintain both their health and the quality of their lives. It's your donations that allow us to do this and we thank you for your support.
